My husband and I visited Currys store in Perth, Scotland. First of all we tried to get an assistant, but there was nobody available. We were in to buy a microwave, we picked the one we wanted, my husband who is in his 70s had to carry the heavy box to the counter. There were two assistants and it was obvious that they did not want to serve us. My husband put the box on the counter and was told to take it to another counter, no help from anyone. He was served by assistant 32 Craig, he asked if we wanted to buy insurance for the item, which we didn’t. Nothing else was said, but only to put his card in the card reader. He was given his receipt, not even a thank you or can I help you carry it to the car. After he gave my husband the receipt he put his head down and started to do something else, completely ignoring us.
We were both absolutely furious at the ignorant way we were treated. In hindsight I should have asked to speak to the manager, but we really wanted out of the shop asap. I have bought a few things from currys, but the way he was treated I will go elsewhere in future.
I would like the assistant, Craig to have further training on how to treat customers with respect. I hope that you will answer my email.
